73 Irregular Immigrants Rescued After Being Pushed Into Turkish Waters by Greek Elements
73 irregular immigrants, including 4 children, who were pushed into Turkish territorial waters by Greek elements off the coast of İzmir’s Çeşme district, were rescued. The incident occurred on the evening of March 4th, as the immigrants attempted to cross the Aegean Sea in an overcrowded boat.
The Turkish Coast Guard quickly responded to distress calls and was able to rescue all 73 individuals from the water. They were brought safely to shore where they received medical attention and were provided with food and water.
