
9.6 Million in Fines for Companies Selling Unsafe Chicken Doner

Stringent Food Safety Inspections in Amasya
The Amasya Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry is enhancing food safety standards in the region by closely monitoring chicken döner production. Officials have been diligently conducting inspections to ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
In the first four months of 2025, inspectors visited 4,018 enterprises across the province. During this period, they completed 2,409 inspections and collected 155 samples for analysis. As a result of these inspections, administrative fines totaling 9,679,131 TL were imposed on 26 food establishments due to identified nonconformities.
The Directorate emphasizes that official controls will continue throughout the year, aiming to maintain high food safety standards. Citizens are encouraged to report any concerns or complaints via the Alo 174 food line, ensuring that everyone can participate in upholding food quality in Amasya.
With these efforts, the provincial authorities are committed to safeguarding public health and promoting safe consumption practices among consumers.
