Fire breaks out in construction of 12-storey hotel in Antalya

A fire broke out on the first floor of a 12-storey hotel under construction in the Cikcilli neighborhood of Antalya. The fire brigade, health, and police teams were quickly notified and dispatched to the scene. Additionally, crane assistance was requested to rescue workers who were stranded on the upper floors of the building.

Firefighters from Alanya, Manavgat, and Gazipaşa districts were called to help extinguish the fire, and the operation is still ongoing.

The Mayor of Alanya, Osman Tarık Özçelik, stated in a live broadcast on CNN Türk that all four workers have been successfully rescued. He assured that the teams are working in a well-coordinated manner to control the fire.

Özçelik also reported that the hotel was near completion, but the municipality had not yet issued the final license. He mentioned that materials in the outer garden were not at risk of catching fire and expressed confidence that once the fire inside the building is extinguished, the situation will be under control.

The fire is currently concentrated on the 2nd and 3rd floors, with no reports of flames on other levels of the construction. The authorities are working diligently to bring the situation under control and ensure the safety of all workers and residents in the area.
