98 Suspects Arrested in Antalya Drug Operation
Police Crack Down on Drug Trafficking in Antalya
Narcotics teams affiliated with the Provincial Police Department in Antalya recently carried out a series of operations against individuals and groups involved in transporting drugs in high-risk areas. The main objective of these operations was to sever the connection between drug buyers and sellers and to prevent young people from easy access to drugs.
Under the coordination of the Antalya Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, the operations were conducted simultaneously with the support of helicopter units by Narcotics Crime Department teams, Special Operations Teams, narcotics detection dogs, and targeted 42 addresses in the districts of Muratpaşa, Kepez, and Serik.
During the searches, a total of 56 kilograms of drugs and numerous pills were confiscated. As a result, legal proceedings have been initiated against 98 individuals who were found to be involved in drug trafficking.
The crackdown on drug trafficking in Antalya demonstrates the commitment of law enforcement officials to combat the spread of drugs in the region and protect the lives and well-being of its citizens. By targeting drug traffickers and disrupting their operations, authorities are working towards creating a safer and drug-free environment for the community.
