A Deadly Encounter: Meeting a Wealthy Middle-Aged Man at a Daily Rental House
The investigation into the murder of Murat Arpapay in a daily rental apartment in Bahçelievler has been completed, according to the indictment prepared by the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office. The incident, which occurred on July 27, 2023, involved the brutal murder of Arpapay, whose body was thrown into the apartment shaft.
The indictment revealed that Murat Arpapay’s hands were tied at the wrists, and he had marks of assault on his head and back. Security camera footage showed that Arpapay entered the building with a woman named Muhterem Perçikli, who was later identified as a suspect in the case. Perçikli confessed in her statement that she was present during the attack on Arpapay and witnessed the violent events that led to his death.
The suspects involved in the case, including Fatih Erginoğlu, Doğan Sarıyıldız, and Ersen Başak (known as Azad), fled the country after the murder. An arrest warrant has been issued for them, and efforts are being made to bring them to justice.
The indictment requested a prison sentence of 20 to 25 years for the defendants for the crime of possible premeditated murder. It was also stated that all defendants acted together in a planned process to rob Arpapay’s house, leading to his tragic death.
In addition, Muhterem Perçikli shared a disturbing video on social media after the murder, indicating her involvement in the crime. Lawyers representing the victim’s family emphasized the severity of the crime and called for justice to be served swiftly.
The case is set to be brought before the court, and efforts are ongoing to capture the fugitive suspects and hold them accountable for their actions.
