In a recent interview with BRT, Serhan Aktunç, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Tourism, Youth, Culture, and Environment, unveiled the promising details of the ‘Island Cyprus Project.’ This initiative aims to bolster interest in Northern Cyprus by leveraging a comprehensive corporate promotion network established over recent months.
Aktunç emphasized that the project embodies a long-anticipated vision now come to fruition. “We have achieved significant potential from the Turkish market through the ‘Island Cyprus’ initiative,” he stated, highlighting the growing engagement from the tourism sector.
One of the project’s standout features is its promotional campaign featuring renowned artist Berkay Tulumbacı. Aktunç noted that the first promotional video alone garnered an impressive 300,000 views, showcasing the campaign’s success in capturing audience attention.
According to the latest data from Türkiye’s Ministry of Tourism, ‘Island Cyprus’ shares have attracted considerable interest, indicating that the project is on a promising trajectory. Aktunç expressed optimism for the future, declaring, “We are on the right road. We will cultivate a new bond with the Turkish people, reviving our shared history, culture, and gastronomy.”
This initiative aims to reposition Cyprus in the hearts of Turkish citizens, reminding them of the island’s rich heritage and cultural significance.
