DMM Disputes Claims of Disinformation in MASAK Report
In a statement released on their social media account, DMM has refuted claims made by certain press outlets regarding the MASAK report, stating that the information in the report is based on incomplete data and does not reflect the truth.
The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) have initiated an investigation into corruption and terrorism based on MASAK’s reports on bank and tax records. These reports are said to be objective and quantitative, prepared using financial data.
According to the statement, it is a legal requirement for intermediary financial institutions to carry out collections exceeding a specific amount (30 thousand TL as of 30 November 2024). Municipal companies are expected to adhere to relevant legislation and collect funds through the financial system. Any collections that are not made through the financial system are considered incomplete by MASAK, and the source of the difference is deemed unknown.
DMM emphasizes the importance of following legal procedures in financial transactions and refutes any claims of misinformation in the MASAK report. The company remains committed to transparency and adherence to regulations in all its operations.
