Adana Submerged: Heavy Rain Turns Roads into Lakes

Heavy rain hit Adana, causing flooding and turning roads into lakes. The General Directorate of Meteorology issued warnings which proved to be accurate as heavy rain hit the city at noon.

The rain, which lasted for about 2 hours in the central districts, caused chaos for drivers in traffic and citizens on the streets. Main arteries were flooded, leading to streets and avenues turning into lakes.

Some vehicles were abandoned in the water, while a tree fell on a car on Kasım Ener Street in the central Çukurova district. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident and firefighters were able to remove the tree.

As the intensity of the rain decreased, the city began to recover from the effects of the heavy downpour. Despite the hardships faced by residents and drivers, the city is expected to return to normal soon.
