
Adana’s ‘Narrow Space’ App Leads to Capture of 28 Suspects

A Successful ‘Narrow Area’ Operation in Adana: 28 Suspects Caught
In a recent operation in Adana, police and gendarmerie teams conducted a ‘Narrow Area’ application on Taçmahal Street, Bota District, with the participation of approximately 500 police officers. The operation aimed to maintain public order, control traffic, and crack down on illegal activities.
During the inspections, penalties were imposed on drivers who exceeded the speed limit and did not wear seat belts. Additionally, 28 suspects with search records were caught through the Citizens’ General Information Screening (GBT) query. The operation also led to the seizure of 14 unlicensed pistols and rifles, 40 kilos of drugs, 80 cannabis roots, 14 narcotic pills, 2 kg of chopped tobacco, and 810 smuggled cigarettes.
The implementation garnered the attention of Ceyhan District Governor Muhammed Gürbüz, Ceyhan Police Chief Ferdi Büyükatak, and Ceyhan District Gendarmerie Commander First Lieutenant Satulmuş Çal, who inspected the works and listened to the problems and suggestions of the residents of the neighborhood. District Governor Gürbüz, who was welcomed with applause by the residents of the neighborhood, even took part in a wedding ceremony of a family on the street during the inspection. He graciously gave money to the groom and extended his best wishes to the bride and groom’s family.
The successful operation demonstrated the dedication of the police and gendarmerie teams to maintain public safety and crack down on illegal activities in the region. The authorities’ proactive approach is crucial in ensuring the well-being of the community and deterring criminal behavior.
