Adıyaman Governorship Allows Investigation of 4 Public Officials in İsias Case
Adıyaman Governorship Provincial Administrative Board has given permission for an investigation into 4 public officials in Adıyaman Municipality who were involved in the İsias Hotel case. The investigation will target the License Office Technician, License Office Chief, Zoning Director, and Deputy Mayor of Adıyaman Municipality during the relevant periods.
The decision to launch the investigation came after it was determined that the building’s structural defects and equipment deficiencies may have led to the collapse of the building. The Governorship Provincial Administrative Board stated that there were violations in the issuance of the building permit, and the responsibilities of the officials were identified.
The Champion Angels Keeping Alive Association shared the reasoned decision with the public, emphasizing their commitment to seeking justice for their lost loved ones. President Ruşen Yücesoylu Karakaya stated that they will not rest until all responsible parties are held accountable for their actions.
The ongoing legal proceedings for the Isias Hotel case, which collapsed during the February 6 earthquake, have seen significant developments. Several defendants have been detained, while others are under judicial control pending further expert reports. The court has scheduled the next hearing for June 12.
Hasan Esendağlı, President of the Turkish Cypriot Bar Association, welcomed the decision to investigate municipal officials who issued the hotel license, despite failures to meet necessary conditions. He expressed the association’s commitment to closely monitoring the investigation and legal proceedings.
The pursuit of justice for the victims of the Isias Hotel tragedy continues, with the hope of holding all responsible parties accountable for their actions.
