Advancement of Kazakhstan’s Military Personnel in English Language Training

Seventy-seven military personnel of Kazakhstan’s Armed Forces have successfully completed a six-month intensive English language training course at the Center for Peacekeeping Operations of the Ministry of Defense (KAZCENT), as reported by KAZCENT’s press service on July 19.

Colonel Bauyrzhan Nigmetullin, the head of the center, congratulated the graduates on their accomplishment, highlighting the importance of English language skills in peacekeeping missions. He emphasized that effective communication with military personnel from different countries and the local population is crucial, and proficiency in English facilitates quick integration into a multinational environment.

The course focused on enhancing grammar, expanding vocabulary, and improving listening and speaking skills. Additionally, special modules on intercultural interaction and professional terminology were included to equip participants with the necessary skills for successful communication with foreign colleagues.

Certificates of completion were awarded to the participants at a solemn ceremony marking the end of the program. The English language course, part of the Ministry of Defense’s strategy to enhance the professional level of military personnel, attracted the largest number of students enrolled.

By successfully completing this training, the military personnel have not only improved their language abilities but also gained valuable insights into intercultural communication, enabling them to engage more effectively with their international counterparts.
