Adverse Weather Causes Sea Transportation Delays

Severe Storms and Rain Cause Disruptions in Maritime Transportation
Adverse weather conditions have been affecting many parts of the country, leading to disruptions in maritime transportation. The Istanbul Sea Buses (IDO) and Bursa Sea Buses (BUDO) have announced the cancellation of several sailings due to the inclement weather.
According to the information provided on the IDO website, the canceled sailings include routes such as Bandırma-Yenikapı-Kadıköy, Kabataş-Kadıköy-Yenikapı-Bursa, and Bursa-Armutlu-Armutlu Holiday Village-Yenikapı-Kadıköy, among others.
Similarly, BUDO has also reported the cancellation of sailings between Bursa (Mudanya) and Istanbul (Eminönü/Sirkeci), as well as trips to Armutlu (İhlas) and other destinations.
In addition to these cancellations, ferry services planned for the Northern Aegean were also affected. Gestaş company, which provides sea transportation between the Dardanelles and the Islands line, announced the cancellation of ferry services to Gökçeada and Bozcaada districts in the North Aegean Sea.
The company stated that all voyages planned for the Geyikli-Bozcaada, Kabatepe-Gökçeada, Narlı-Marmara, and Southern Marmara Islands lines have been canceled due to adverse weather conditions. They also provided information about the cancellations on the Çanakkale-Eceabat line.
Passengers are advised to check with the respective ferry operators for updates and alternative arrangements. The safety of passengers and crew is the top priority during these adverse weather conditions.
