Advocating for Dialogue: BRTK’s Stance
Animal Producers and Breeders Association President Mustafa Naimoğulları has announced a three-day break from the ongoing protest in order to focus on the İsias Hotel case to be discussed in Adıyaman. Naimoğulları stated that a new road map will be determined on Friday, June 14 with the aim of taking further action.
The Board of Directors of the Animal Producers and Breeders Union recently held a meeting at the union building, where President Naimoğulları addressed the media after the hour-long discussion. He emphasized the significance of the İsias Hotel case, noting that Turkish politicians will be involved in the discussions.
Following the resolution of some issues at a meeting held at the Prime Ministry last Friday, Naimoğulları highlighted that agreements were made regarding meat imports, ensuring that Livestock Breeders’ Union approval is mandatory. He mentioned that only 21 tons of the 42 tons of imported meat had arrived, with plans for distribution after thorough analysis.
While some progress has been made in resolving key issues, Naimoğulları noted that the protocol with the government has yet to be signed due to ongoing concerns. Despite challenges faced during the protest, Naimoğulları expressed a commitment to dialogue and a peaceful resolution.
As the protests temporarily pause for the İsias Hotel case discussion, Naimoğulları acknowledged the need for unity and cooperation within the animal breeding industry. Emphasizing the importance of finding solutions together, he reiterated the association’s commitment to advocating for the rights of animal producers without involving politics in their mission.
