AFAD Reports 4-Magnitude Earthquake in Van
An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.0 has been recorded in the central base of Van Başkale district, according to the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD). The earthquake, which occurred at 03:39:39 TSİ on April 22, 2025, had a depth of 6.95 km. Fortunately, no negative impacts were reported following the initial assessments of the seismic activity, which caused some short-term concern.

In another seismic event, a 4.3 magnitude earthquake shook Kütahya’s Simav district, causing concern among residents. The earthquake occurred at 20:24 and had a depth of 13 kilometers. AFAD issued a statement about this earthquake as well, urging people to stay informed and follow safety protocols.
