Ahmet Gülüm Elected President of TMOK
After the silence and the National Anthem played at the General Assembly held at the Olympic House, the presidency of TMOK was elected. President Dr. Uğur Erdener and Secretary General Neşe Gündoğan gave presentations on the activities planned for 2024, followed by a screening of TMOK’s 2024 Activities Film.
During the General Assembly, the Board of Directors presented the final account and financial status report, as well as the release of the Supervisory Board reports, which were unanimously approved. Proposed changes to the TMOK charter were postponed to the next meeting unanimously.
Presidential candidates Ahmet Gülüm and Prof. Dr. After delivering their speeches, the election took place. Out of 338 votes cast, Ahmet Gülüm received 335 votes, surpassing his opponent who received 150 votes. Thus, Dr. Uğur Erdener was elected as TMOK’s new president for the next four years.
Following his election, Ahmet Gülüm expressed his gratitude to Dr. Uğur Erdener on stage. In his speech, Ahmet Gülüm emphasized their commitment to building on the legacy of TMOK while enhancing Turkish sports. He also thanked the TMOK members for their support.
