Air Arabia Abu Dhabi to Launch New Route to Almaty
ASTANA – Air Arabia Abu Dhabi, a prominent low-cost airline from the UAE, is set to kick off regular passenger flights on the Abu Dhabi–Almaty route in June. This new service will operate three times a week on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, enhancing the connectivity between the UAE’s capital and Kazakhstan’s largest city.
Adel Al Ali, Group Chief Executive Officer of Air Arabia, expressed enthusiasm for the new route, stating, “We are glad to launch our new service to Almaty, further expanding our international reach from Zayed International Airport. This new route reflects our commitment to offering passengers affordable and reliable travel options while enhancing connectivity from the UAE’s capital with key international markets.”
The Civil Aviation Committee of the Kazakh Ministry of Transport is actively working to expand international air connectivity, aiming to increase both the quantity and frequency of international flights.
In addition to Air Arabia’s new service, other airlines are also enhancing connections within the region. Starting June 28, Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) will commence regular flights between Baku and Shymkent three times weekly. Furthermore, South Korean carrier Eastar Jet has recently launched a direct route from Incheon to Almaty, which began operating on April 7.
This expansion of air routes signifies a positive step towards improved travel options for both residents and visitors, facilitating greater accessibility between major cities in the Middle East and Central Asia.
