AK Party secures 4 parliamentary seats, while CHP wins 1 in Adıyaman.

Adıyaman’s citizens recently exercised their right to vote, casting their ballots in the provincial election. Out of the 399,303 registered voters in the area, 327,324 individuals participated in the election, with an unofficial total of 314,908 votes deemed valid. The ruling AK Party received the majority of votes with 165,281, while the CHP received 58,248 votes.

According to the results, five candidates won parliamentary seats. Among the winning candidates were Resul Kurt, İshak Şan, Mustafa Alakayış, and Hüseyin Özhan from the AK Party, and Abdurrahman Tutdere from the CHP.

Resul Kurt, aged 52, has a degree from Istanbul University’s Faculty of Political Sciences. He has worked in various positions at the Presidency of the Social Security Institution and as a lecturer at Marmara University and Bahçeşehir University. He is married with two children.

İshak Şan is a 47-year-old graduate of Fırat University Faculty of Medicine. After working at Kahta State Hospital, he completed his residency in Ankara and worked in the Presidency health team between 2015-2020. Later, he served as the Head of Emergency Health Services of the Ministry of Health. Şan is married and has two children.

Mustafa Alakayış is a 51-year-old freelance lawyer who graduated from Marmara Faculty of Law. He has previously served as the provincial chairman of the Virtue Party, Felicity Party, and HAS Party Adıyaman, as well as two terms as AK Party Adıyaman Central District President. Alakayış is married with four children.

Hüseyin Özhan, aged 56, has an economics degree from Çukurova University and previously worked as an assistant general manager in a private holding. He has been serving as AK Party Adıyaman Provincial Vice President since 2021 and is married with three children.

Abdurrahman Tutdere, aged 47, is a self-employed lawyer who graduated from Atatürk University Faculty of Law. He previously served as the Provincial Secretary of the Republican People’s Party Adıyaman and as the Secretary General of the Bar Association before becoming the 27th Term Adıyaman Deputy. Tutdere is married and has two children.

Overall, the AK Party won four parliamentary seats, while the CHP won one seat in Adıyaman.
