AK Party’s “New Constitution Workshop” Commences
AK Party Deputy Chairman Hayati Yazıcı held a press conference before the “New Constitution Workshop” at the party headquarters. During the conference, he emphasized the party’s commitment to creating a democratic, civil, and inclusive constitution with the widest possible consensus to benefit all segments of society.
Yazıcı stated that the AK Party and the People’s Alliance have continuously expressed their determination to unite the nation under a new constitution that focuses on democracy, rights, and freedoms. The goal is to help Turkey achieve its objectives in various areas including the economy and democracy.
He highlighted that despite numerous amendments to erase the remnants of the past regime from the 1982 Constitution, there is still a need for a new constitution that guarantees freedoms and strengthens the independence and impartiality of the judiciary.
