Akar, Chairman of Turkish Grand National Assembly’s National Defense Commission, Meets with Martyrs’ Families and Veterans
The Grand National Assembly of Turkey National Defense Commission Chairman, Hulusi Akar, recently visited the Kayseri Governorship along with his accompanying commission members. Following this, they paid a visit to the Kartal Martyrs’ Cemetery where they laid carnations on the graves and spent time chatting with the relatives of the martyrs.
During their visit, Akar and his entourage also stopped by the Mausoleum and had a meeting with the families of the martyrs and veterans at a restaurant located in the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan National Garden.
In a speech delivered during the meeting, Akar expressed his joy in being able to connect with the families of martyrs and veterans. Stressing the significance of unity and solidarity, Akar highlighted the ongoing battle against various terrorist organizations such as PKK, YPG, DAESH, and FETO. He commended the efforts of Mehmetçik in safeguarding the nation and emphasized the importance of safeguarding the unity and integrity of the country.
Akar also mentioned the crucial fight against terrorist groups, both domestically and internationally, in order to ensure that all 85 million citizens in the country can continue to live in comfort, harmony, and trust as one united nation.
Furthermore, Akar emphasized the commitment of the National Defense Commission and the relevant ministry in supporting the families of martyrs and veterans, observing the advancements in the defense industry, and addressing the needs in that sector. He noted the significant developments and investments being made in the defense industry in Kayseri, involving contributions from the private sector, public sector, and foundation companies.
Akar reiterated the importance of improving efficiency and effectiveness in their work, with the aim of promoting unity, solidarity, and the well-being of all citizens, especially the families of martyrs and veterans.
Lastly, Akar expressed gratitude towards the families of martyrs and veterans, promising that they will always be remembered and valued for their sacrifices and contributions.
