Akşener Vows to Take Action against Accused PKK Members.
IYI Party Chairman Meral Akşener recently attended the ‘May 3 Turkism Day’ event in Ankara, organized by Party Spokesperson Kürşad Zorlu, where she addressed the youth in attendance. Akşener spoke of the current state of politics, where there is an “artificial hierarchical order” that is focused on the individual’s demands. She emphasized the desires of the Z generation, stating that they want to “breathe” and “care” and not be spoken to in an imperative tone.
During the same event, Akşener also spoke about the upcoming elections, saying that the current climate is similar to that of a war. She stated that the mindset of the voter has changed from a “customer-parent blessing” to a “voter-parent blessing.” The IYI Party Chairman also addressed the issue of the PKK, a designated terror group in Turkey. Akşener stated that every incoming government must fight against the PKK and that necessary action will be taken against anyone accused of being a member of the organization.
Akşener’s speech at the event highlighted the importance of individual freedoms and standing up for what is right. As election day approaches, it is clear that the IYI Party is positioning itself as a strong opponent to the current ruling party. Akşener’s words have caught the attention of Turkey’s youth, who are looking for a new vision and new leadership. It remains to be seen how successful the IYI Party will be in the upcoming elections, but Akşener’s words have certainly struck a chord with many.
