National athlete Alara Ghaffari has made her mark in the European Billiard Championship, emerging as the champion in the women’s category. Representing Northern Cyprus as part of the National Team category under the Northern Cyprus Billiard Federation, Ghaffari showcased her skills and determination in Tallin, Estonia.
Facing tough competition from 52 athletes in the 10 ball discipline, Ghaffari defeated notable opponents such as Ivana Sabarıc, Pia Filler, and Jasmin Ouschan on her path to the finals. The final match saw Ghaffari triumph over her Portuguese rival Sara Rocha with a score of 6-3, securing her title as the European champion in the women’s category.
Prime Minister Ünal Üsel took to social media to congratulate Ghaffari on her outstanding achievement. In his message, he commended the young athlete for her success in the 2025 European billiards championship and praised her for representing her country with excellence.
