Aliyev and Fidan Discuss Relations with Armenia
Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Pakistan Continue Trilateral Cooperation Process
In a recent meeting between Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Turkey’s Vice President Fuat Oktay in the city of Shusha in Azerbaijan, it was revealed that the trilateral summit held by the leaders of Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Pakistan on the sidelines of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Astana, Kazakhstan, will continue to pave the way for further cooperation.
The statement issued by the Presidency of Azerbaijan highlighted that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has agreed to visit Germany to watch the Turkey-Netherlands match, while Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz will represent Turkey at the Informal Summit of Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States (TDT) in Shusha.
During their meeting, Aliyev and Oktay discussed the significance of the Shusha Declaration signed between Azerbaijan and Turkey, as well as the importance of unity and solidarity within the Turkic world. The leaders also took time to address the ongoing relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey, as well as Turkey and Armenia.
Furthermore, it was mentioned that Oktay will attend the TDT Foreign Ministers Council preceding the summit and will be accompanying Vice President Yılmaz during the event.
Overall, the meeting between Aliyev and Oktay reaffirmed the commitment to enhancing cooperation between Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Pakistan, emphasizing the importance of regional unity and collaboration within the Turkic world.
