YSK Denies Cancellation of CHP Extraordinary Congress Decision
The Supreme Election Board (YSK) has released a statement refuting the allegations circulating on social media regarding the cancellation of the extraordinary congress decision of the Republican People’s Party (CHP).
According to the statement, the claims shared on social media are completely baseless, and there has been no decision by the YSK to cancel any party’s congress. Furthermore, there is no application for such a decision on the agenda. The YSK emphasized that any information outside their official website should not be considered accurate, and legal action will be taken against those spreading false information.
It was also reported that the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office has received a criminal complaint regarding the news and shares related to this matter. The YSK’s statement aims to clarify the situation and prevent any further misinformation from spreading.
In a separate development, details of Istanbul Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu’s statement to the prosecutors regarding corruption and terror operations have also emerged. İmamoğlu denied the allegations and criticized the use of fabricated questions and false witness testimonies in the investigations.
