Alleged Female Leader of FETÖ Captured
Woman Wanted for FETÖ Membership Arrested in Istanbul Metro Station
During a routine inspection, authorities from the Financial Crimes Department apprehended a woman at a metro station in Istanbul whom they suspected of being involved in activities against public order.
Upon further investigation, it was revealed that the suspect was wanted for being a member of FETÖ (Fethullahist Terrorist Organization) and was allegedly one of the individuals in charge of the so-called women’s organization of FETÖ.
Authorities also confiscated a fake identity document issued under a different name and a phone line registered to a foreign national from the suspect.
Following the necessary procedures at the police station, the suspect was taken to court and subsequently arrested.
This incident serves as a reminder of the ongoing efforts to combat terrorism and uphold public safety in Turkey. Members of FETÖ, which is designated as a terrorist organization by the Turkish government, continue to be pursued and brought to justice.
