
Altuğra and Amcaoğlu visit health center in Gonyeli-Alayköy

Minister of Health visits Gönyeli-Alayköy Health Center
The Minister of Health, Monitoring Gürçağ Altuğra, recently visited the Gönyeli-Alayköy Health Center in the company of Gönyeli-Alayköy Mayor Hüseyin Amcaoğlu. During the visit, the Health Center Director, Dr. Sevgül Maydanozcu, briefed Minister Altuğra on the center’s operations while the minister chatted with employees and inspected the equipment provided by the ministry.
Following the visit, Mayor Amcaoğlu expressed his satisfaction that the protocol signed several months ago was now put into action. He explained that the center served citizens over the age of 65, whether at home or in the Health Center. He thanked Minister Altuğra for making significant contributions to this service and said that among his plans was to construct a more expansive health center in the region.
Minister Altuğra, for her part, remarked that the government aimed to collaborate more with local municipal authorities, and she proudly stated that the health services rendered at the Gönyeli Social Activity Center were excellent. She added that her ministry was making efforts to ensure that people over 65 receive much better service both at home and in health centers.
According to Altuğra, the Health House would soon be open for services in Alayköy and Yılmazköy every 15 days. The services would include cardiology, dietitian, and primary health care services.
Overall, the visit was successful and demonstrated the government’s commitment to ensuring that all Cypriot citizens receive the best possible care and support from their healthcare establishments.
