One of the major accomplishments mentioned in the video is the reconstruction of the State Laboratory. Following a fire incident in 2016, the laboratory was rendered unusable. However, Minister Altuğra announced that the disposal of expired medical drugs and chemicals has been successfully carried out, ensuring the safety of both the environment and human health. The State Laboratory will now undergo repair, modification, and strengthening.
Another notable achievement is the implementation of the Pediatric Emergency Service, which caters exclusively to children. Minister Altuğra expressed pride in bringing this service to his period, aligning Turkey with contemporary countries. The Pediatric Emergency Service boasts a competent team of doctors and continues to serve the public effectively.
In addressing the shortcomings of Akçiçek Hospital, Minister Altuğra and his team have initiated the construction of the New Girne Hospital. This development aims to enhance healthcare services and meet the growing demands of the community.
Furthermore, Minister Altuğra highlighted the renovation of the Cardiovascular Surgery service at Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital, which was completed following a fire incident in 2020. The upgraded service now provides more contemporary and modern conditions for patients.
Moreover, an important protocol has been signed between the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Turkey and the Ministry of Health of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC). This protocol enables dual national general practitioners to fulfill their compulsory services in the TRNC, strengthening healthcare cooperation between the two nations.
Minister Altuğra emphasized the relentless dedication of his team, working tirelessly day and night with the support of Motherland Turkey, to address longstanding health issues. He expressed his optimism for better days ahead and promised to share many more projects with the public, meeting their expectations in the field of health and beyond.
