Ambassador of Turkmenistan in Georgia Discusses Cooperation with Director of Georgian National Center of Manuscripts
On 1 March 2024, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan in Georgia, Mr. Dovletmyrat Seyitmammedov, met with Director of Georgian National Center of Manuscripts, Mr. Zaza Abashidze.
During their meeting, the parties focused on enhancing collaboration between the Magtymguly National Institute of Language, Literature, and Manuscripts of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan and the Georgian National Center of Manuscripts. They emphasized the importance of direct communication between the two institutions, organizing joint conferences, scientific forums, research activities, implementation of shared scientific projects, and exchange of experiences among scholars from both countries.
The Ambassador highlighted that this year marks the 300th anniversary of the birth of the renowned Turkmen poet and philosopher, Magtymguly Fragi, which is being celebrated internationally. He underscored that the events commemorating this significant milestone aim to introduce the world community to the works of Magtymguly Fragi, and foster a deeper humanitarian dialogue, friendship, and mutual understanding between nations.
In response, Zaza Abashidze expressed optimism about the continued success of cultural and humanitarian cooperation between Turkmenistan and Georgia. He acknowledged the crucial role that scholars from both countries play in promoting their rich cultural heritage, ancient values, and national art.
The collaborative efforts between Turkmenistan and Georgia in the field of culture and humanities are instrumental in fostering mutual understanding and strengthening ties between the two nations.
