
Ambassadors hosted at iftar dinner in Southern Cyprus by Foundations Administration

The Cyprus Foundations Administration recently hosted an iftar dinner for ambassadors working in the Greek Cypriot Administration of Southern Cyprus. The event took place in Nicosia and was attended by clergy, officials of international organizations, diplomats, and members of the Board of Directors of the foundations.
In a statement released by the foundations, it was highlighted that such gatherings play a crucial role in increasing inter-communal dialogue and solidarity. Religious Affairs President Hakan Moral led the iftar prayer during the month of Ramadan, expressing wishes for peace, harmony, and brotherhood.
During the event, General Manager of Cyprus Foundations Administration, Dr. Mustafa Tümer, emphasized the significant role of the foundations in the social, cultural, and economic aspects of the island. Tümer stated, “The foundations administration has been instrumental in supporting societies, providing essential services, and fostering a sense of solidarity among the people.”
With a history spanning 453 years, Tümer highlighted that Evkaf has been a beacon of inclusivity, welcoming individuals from various civilizations and religions without discrimination. He also mentioned the foundation’s aim to collaborate with different countries on mutually beneficial projects.
The iftar dinner served as a platform for fostering mutual understanding and cooperation among diverse communities on the island of Cyprus. Such initiatives contribute to building bridges and promoting peace and harmony in the region.
