Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç Announces Plans for Turkey’s Largest Justice Palace
Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç recently made an exciting announcement at Ankara Governorship regarding the construction of Turkey’s largest justice palace in the capital. This new justice palace will consolidate judicial services that are currently spread across 6 different buildings into one centralized location.
Tunç explained, “These services are currently provided in 6 separate buildings. We had been working on a project for a long time to bring these together under one roof. We completed the construction tender on December 8, and the contract was executed on December 18.”
The construction of the new Ankara Courthouse has already begun, and Tunç revealed that it will have the largest closed area of any courthouse in Turkey. “Our courthouse will be completed and put at the service of the people of Ankara in a period of 40 months. Our Ankara Courthouse will be in the form of horizontal architecture, with a total closed area of 662 thousand square meters,” he stated.
Tunç also emphasized that the new palace of justice will be a smart building that truly suits the city of Ankara. He added, “It will be the largest palace of justice both in Turkey and in the world.”
