Ankara: The Future Capital of Industry, Economy, and Agriculture
Turgut Altınok, the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Candidate for the AK Party, is making big promises for the capital city. At the opening of the Altındağ Election Coordination Center, Altınok announced plans for new metro projects and urban transformation initiatives.
One of the key highlights of Altınok’s speech was the announcement of the readiness of the airport metro project. He emphasized that this project will significantly improve transportation in the region. Additionally, Altınok revealed plans to hold a tender for the Siteler Ulubey Önder Karapürçek metro after the elections, with a vision to cover Altındağ with metros.
Apart from the metro projects, Altınok also shared details of various urban transformation projects across Ankara. He mentioned projects like the Scythians urban transformation, Örnek Neighborhood urban transformation, and the Hıdırlıktepe Turkish Historical Road project. Altınok envisions transforming Hıdırlıktepe into a place where people can admire Ankara from a tower or a castle, and experience a forest environment with the addition of a cable car to Hacı Bayram Castle.
Criticism was also directed towards the current CHP’s 5-year municipal administration, with Altınok stating that Ankara has only turned into a “big town” during this period.
In addition to unveiling his plans and taking shots at the opposition, Turgut Altınok also attended the opening of the MHP Voter Communication Center. Overall, Altınok’s ambitious vision for Ankara includes significant infrastructure projects, transportation improvements, and urban transformations, promising to elevate the city to new heights if elected.
