Anniversary Celebration at Budapest Central European Fashion Week

The Budapest Central European Fashion Week (BCEFW) has become a highly anticipated event in Central Europe, showcasing the best of regional fashion. The upcoming 15th season, scheduled for February 10-16, promises to be more vibrant and diverse than ever before, as reported by Turizmus.com.
Since its inception, BCEFW has provided a platform for nearly 150 designers to showcase their creations twice a year, with 25-30 fashion shows per season. The event has seen a steady increase in attendance, growing from 1,500 guests in its first season to over 5,000 attendees per season, accompanied by a significant online following on social media platforms.
Prominent figures in Hungarian contemporary fashion design, as well as emerging international designers, have graced the BCEFW catwalks regularly. The event not only holds cultural significance but also creates economic value by promoting dialogue between countries in the region and opening up new opportunities for businesses.
While BCEFW initially focused on international partnerships, particularly with the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana and the mentoring of Hungarian brands at Milan Fashion Week, the emphasis has shifted towards regional collaboration in recent seasons. The 2024 Autumn BCEFW featured collections from nearly 50 designers representing 15 countries, showcasing the diversity and talent of designers from Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Romania, Ukraine, and more.
The upcoming 15th Budapest Central European Fashion Week will see increased international partnerships, with designers from Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Poland, Slovenia, and the Czech Republic presenting their work. The event will feature a lineup of nearly 50 designers, including established brands and emerging talents, offering a mix of fashion shows, programs, and special events to celebrate this milestone.
Beauty care will also be integrated into the BCEFW theme this year, adding an extra dimension to the jubilee event. With a focus on creativity, diversity, and innovation, BCEFW continues to be a driving force in the regional fashion industry, showcasing the best of Central European design to a global audience.
