Announcement of Funeral Date for Former Hizbullah Leader Nasrallah
Hezbollah Secretary General Naim Kasım has announced that the funeral of Hezbollah Secretary General Nasrallah, who was killed by Israel, will be held on 23 February. Kasım made a statement in a video message about the funeral ceremonies of previous Hezbollah leaders and Israel’s occupation in the south of Lebanon.
Kasım stated that the Israeli army has begun to withdraw from the south of Lebanon, noting that “the scenes of return in the south show the liberation of the people.”
He emphasized that the Lebanese state has a “responsibility” to follow Israel’s violations and attacks and to exert pressure on these attacks.
Kasım also mentioned that there is a campaign to force Hezbollah and the Amal Movement to accept defeat, but they remain determined to break the occupation of Israel and secure victory.
He further highlighted the losses suffered by Hezbollah, including many members and civilians, due to Israel’s attacks.
Kasım recalled the resistance of the people of the region when Israel did not withdraw from the occupied areas in the south of Lebanon as per the ceasefire agreement.
He questioned whether Israel would withdraw without conflict, emphasizing the importance of resistance in achieving this goal.
The funeral ceremony for Nasrallah will be held on February 23, and the ceremony will include slogans of unity and resistance.
Lastly, he discussed the violent attacks carried out by the Israeli army in the Dahiye region, resulting in the deaths of Nasrallah and his cousin and successor Hashim Safiyyuddin.
As the funeral approaches, tensions remain high in the region, with Hezbollah vowing to continue their resistance against Israeli aggression.
