Another terrorist surrenders through persuasion.
The Turkish security forces have succeeded in persuading yet another member of the PKK/KCK terrorist organization to surrender. This achievement came as a result of the coordinated efforts of the General Directorate of Security and the Gendarmerie General Command under the guidance of the Ministry of Interior.
The surrendered individual had joined the terrorist organization back in 2013 and was found to be operating in Syria and Iraq. It was also discovered that the family of the surrendered member had joined the “Diyarbakır Mothers” movement in December 2019.
The successful surrender brings the total number of persuaded PKK/KCK members to 39 this year alone.
This is all part of the Turkish government’s ongoing campaign against terrorism, which has been a persistent threat to the nation for many years. The country has faced countless acts of violence and bloodshed perpetrated by various terrorist groups, including the PKK/KCK.
The efforts to quell terrorism have involved several different strategies, including military operations, diplomacy, and persuasion.
