Antalya Schools Closed Tomorrow – Last Minute Update

Some Schools Closed in Antalya Due to Adverse Weather Conditions
As a result of heavy rainfall and adverse weather conditions affecting several districts of Antalya, some schools have been closed. The announcement was made at the last minute by the Governorship, stating which districts would be affected by the closures.
According to the statement released by the Antalya Governorship, schools in three districts – Muratpaşa, Kepez, and Konyaaltı – will be closed on February 14, 2024 (Wednesday). This decision was made due to the schools not being ready to accommodate students and staff, as a result of the ongoing adverse weather conditions.
While education has been suspended in these three districts, there has been no decision made regarding other districts at this time. Therefore, education will continue as usual in districts other than Muratpaşa, Kepez, and Konyaaltı.
The adverse weather conditions have also prompted a holiday decision for schools in five central districts of Antalya (Aksu, Döşemealtı, Kepez, Konyaaltı, Muratpaşa) on Tuesday, February 13, 2024. This decision was made due to floods and ongoing adverse weather conditions. Additionally, disabled, pregnant, and chronically ill personnel working in public institutions in the five central districts are also considered to be on administrative leave for one day.
The Governorship continues to monitor the situation and keep the public informed of any further developments.
