Tourism in Antalya Continues to Thrive with Increase in Tourist Arrivals
Antalya, a popular tourist destination in Turkey, has witnessed a significant increase in tourist arrivals this year, according to Antalya Governor Ersin Yazıcı. From January 1 to July 18, a total of 7,037,883 tourists arrived in the city by air, highlighting the continuous growth in tourism data for Antalya.
Governor Ersin Yazıcı emphasized that Antalya offers year-round tourism opportunities with its exceptional weather, mesmerizing deep blue sea, breathtaking beaches, high-quality facilities, lush nature, and rich history. He further expressed his satisfaction with the city’s excellent start to the current tourism season.
Providing statistics to support his statement, Governor Yazıcı revealed that in the same period of 2022, a total of 5,658,218 tourists visited Antalya by air. Comparatively, this year’s arrival numbers saw an impressive increase of 24 percent, with 7,037,883 tourists opting to visit the city. Specifically, between July 1 and July 18, the number of tourists visiting the city by air reached 1,514,216, surpassing the figure of 1,373,704 from the same period last year. To put this into context, in 2019, a record-breaking year for tourism, 1,487,528 tourists arrived in Antalya by air during these dates.
The increasing number of tourists choosing Antalya as their preferred holiday destination signifies the city’s enduring allure and the appeal of its diverse offerings to visitors.
