Appointment of the New President of the Hungarian Reformed Church Synod

József Steinbach, the bishop of the Transdanubian Reformed Church District, has been chosen as the new president of the Synod of the Reformed Church in Hungary, as reported by the website reformatus.hu. The decision was made during a meeting held behind closed doors, where it was acknowledged that former president Zoltán Balog had resigned from his position. The resolution issued at the meeting also expressed gratitude for Balog’s dedicated service to the church.
Following Balog’s resignation, Steinbach was unanimously elected as the new president of the Synod. Dániel Pásztor, the bishop of the Cistibiscan Reformed Church District, who had been serving as the acting president after Balog’s departure, will now continue in the role of vice-president of the Synod.
This change in leadership marks a new era for the Reformed Church in Hungary, as Steinbach takes on his new responsibilities as president of the Synod. The church looks forward to his leadership and guidance in the future.
