Appreciation for sponsors and press at GİKAD – BRTK event
The Turkish Cypriot Women’s Association organized an event at Acapulco Resort Hotel today to express gratitude to the sponsor companies and press organizations that have supported their projects and helped bring them to the public eye.
GİKAD President İçim Çağıner Kavuklu, speaking at the event, highlighted the association’s role in empowering Turkish Cypriot women in various fields such as sports, politics, science, and socio-economic life. She emphasized that GİKAD aims to establish women in positions of influence and leadership, not just as participants.
Kavuklu expressed her appreciation for the support of sponsor organizations that have helped bring the association’s projects to life. She thanked the companies who have contributed financially and morally to their efforts, as well as the press for their coverage.
The Turkish Cypriot Entrepreneur Women’s Association, led by Kavuklu, has been working tirelessly to strengthen women and serve the community. They have been instrumental in creating projects that promote the leadership of women in Cyprus and contribute to the country’s overall development.
One of their initiatives, the Entrepreneur Women Development Cooperative, focuses on sustainable development in rural areas. Kavuklu also mentioned the success of Gika-Koop’s Halk Bank in a recent competition, which reflects positively on the cooperative and the country as a whole.
In addition to their educational initiatives, such as the GİKAD Academy, the association has been actively involved in promoting entrepreneurship in schools. Their Green Schools Project has already impacted 70 schools and aims to instill values of environmental conservation and sustainability in younger generations.
