Forest Fire in Çeşme: 1 Suspect Caught
A forest fire broke out in the town of Çeşme, Karadağ, around 11 p.m. Firefighters were immediately dispatched to the scene upon receiving reports from witnesses. The fire, fueled by strong winds, is currently being brought under control by the intervention of firefighters. The İzmir Regional Directorate of Forestry has also joined the effort with 5 water tanks, 2 water tankers, and 1 dozer.
In the midst of the chaos, authorities managed to apprehend a suspect who is believed to have started the fire intentionally. The individual was taken into custody and transported to the police headquarters for further questioning.
