
Arrest Warrant Issued for Abusive Posts Targeting Earthquake Victims

Video containing insults, swearing, attacks, provocations, and provocations directed towards earthquake-affected voters who participated in the May 15 Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, Presidential, and 28th Term Parliamentary Elections has been detected. The video was found on Tiktok’s @alibabaxxl account. Due to the severity of the video’s content, an ex officio investigation has been initiated against the suspect for inciting the public to hate, hostility or insult.
As part of the investigation, the suspect has been ordered to be taken into custody. An arrest warrant has also been issued for the suspect if he is abroad. This incident is further proof of the dangers of spreading hate speech and propaganda on social media. The consequences of sharing such content can lead to legal action and hurt not only individuals but entire communities.
