Man Threatens Fire Team with Gun After Setting Neighbor’s Workplace Ablaze
A shocking incident occurred in the Güzelevler District of the Yüreğir district, where a man set fire to his neighbor’s workplace and then threatened the fire brigade with a gun. The suspect, identified as Cenk Ş., poured flammable material and ignited a fire at his neighbor’s e-commerce and software business for unknown reasons.
The fire quickly engulfed the workplace, prompting a response from the fire brigade. However, when they arrived at the scene, Cenk Ş. blocked their path with a pump-action shotgun. He even went as far as opening fire into the air to prevent them from extinguishing the flames.
Citizens in the area reacted swiftly to the suspect’s actions, beating him and disarming him before the firefighters were able to intervene and extinguish the fire. The suspect was later rescued by police from the angry crowd and detained for further questioning.
Fortunately, the firefighters were able to contain the fire using sprinklers and a water tank before it spread to other nearby workplaces. Additionally, a cat and two dogs that were present at the workplace during the incident managed to escape unharmed.
