An Art Event Honoring the Champion Angels
A special art event was recently held in Namık Kemal Square to remember the Champion Angels, featuring artists İpek Denizli and Leman Cankat. The event included ceramics and painting workshops and was attended by many children and adults.
The theme of the event was “Art is good for all of us when combined with love,” emphasizing the healing power of art. Participants had the opportunity to engage in creative activities and express themselves through various art forms.
President of the Champion Angels Keeping Alive Association, Ruşen Karakaya, along with association member Sena Topukçuoğlu, the mother of Champion Melek Mert, spoke to BRT about the importance of preserving the legacy of the champion angels. They highlighted the significance of such events in keeping the memory of the champions alive.
Artists İpek Denizli and Leman Cankat also addressed the issue of delayed justice, advocating for a fair and timely resolution. They emphasized that “Isias is our common cause,” calling for unity and justice for all.
Children who attended the event expressed their admiration and respect for the Champion Angels, promising to never forget their bravery and inspiring stories. The art event served as a tribute to the legacy of these remarkable individuals, showcasing the power of art in honoring their memory.
