Arzum Onan and Mehmet Aslantuğ Divorce Finalized in One Session, Holding Hands
After 27 years of marriage, Arzum Onan and Mehmet Aslantuğ have gotten a divorce. Onan filed for divorce on February 28th, alleging psychological violence, and the case was presented at the Beykoz 1st Family Court. Aslantuğ, who had not previously spoken about the subject, became a parliamentary candidate from TİP during this process, but was not elected. After the election, the couple came together to file for divorce. At the courthouse, they arrived hand in hand, but Onan answered questions from reporters with, “Friends, it’s a very sensitive subject.” The court announced its decision to divorce the couple, and the marriage officially ended after a 10-minute trial. When asked about the allegations of psychological violence, Mehmet Aslantuğ simply replied, “Let there be love.”
