ASELSAN, a leading defense company in Turkey, has introduced a groundbreaking new system called Göktan to its wide range of products. This system made a significant impact during its testing on February 18, as Aselsan’s Tolun ammunition successfully hit its target with full precision.
The Göktan project incorporates rocket engine integration, command control and shooting control systems, as well as task planning and shooting information for Tolun. After initiating the rocket engine during the test, Tolun deployed its wings and successfully reached the predetermined target.
Developed to address critical objectives independently of the platform, Göktan was a collaborative effort between ASELSAN and Delta-V, with ASELSAN serving as the main contractor. This system is capable of 360-degree shooting without the need for platform maneuvers, making it versatile in various situations. Additionally, Göktan can perform curved shots and has features for multiple engagements and consecutive firings.
