Assembly meeting successfully held, next meeting scheduled for Monday – BRTK
The General Assembly of the Republican Assembly has recently concluded, with deputies discussing various current issues in their speeches. The next meeting is scheduled to take place next Monday.
Filiz Besim, a deputy from the Republican Turkish Party, highlighted the importance of proper pharmaceutical policies in her speech. She emphasized the need to understand the burden of illness in order to formulate the right pharmaceutical policy. Besim pointed out the challenges in the health system, particularly the drug problem that has emerged since the pandemic. She raised concerns about the sustainability of pharmaceutical policies and called for improvements in drug tender systems.
Health Minister Hakan Dinçyürek responded to Besim’s speech by assuring that the government has been providing uninterrupted drug supplies. He mentioned that they have increased the pharmaceutical budget significantly and are working on improving the drug tender system. Dinçyürek also announced plans for a billion TL drug tender this year and emphasized the government’s efforts to enhance healthcare services across the country.
In another session, various deputies discussed political developments, sports achievements, and issues related to defective airbags in vehicles. There were debates regarding the accountability of government officials and the functionality of the Parliament.
