Assembly’s General Meeting Convenes with Packed Schedule
The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus will hold its General Assembly meeting today to address a range of bills and proposals. The meeting will commence at 10:00 a.m. and will include discussions on several key legislative initiatives, including the Draft Law on the Approval of the Agreement on Cooperation in the Fields of Health and Medical Sciences between the Government of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and the Government of the Republic of Turkey.
Other items on the agenda include the Motor Vehicles Passenger and Goods Transport Inspection Amendment Draft Law, the Associations Amendment Proposal, the Technology Development Zones Amendment Bill, and the Martyr Families and Disability Assistance Amendment Bill. The third meeting of the TCA Amendment Draft Law will also be discussed, along with reports from the Legal, Political Affairs and Foreign Relations Committee on the Evaluation of the Applications for the Membership of the Court of Accounts, and evaluations of Higher Education Planning, Supervision, Accreditation, and Coordination Board Membership Applications.
Furthermore, the Legal, Political Affairs and Foreign Relations Committee’s Report on the Evaluation of Personal Data Protection Board Membership Candidates will be reviewed. Lastly, the President of the TRNC Kaan Kutlay, Personal Data Protection Board Chairman, will present a report on his appointment.
The General Assembly will consider a variety of issues during this meeting, which promises to be an essential event for the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
