Automechanika Astana 2025 Showcases International Automotive Industry Innovations
The Automechanika Astana 2025 exhibition kicked off on April 15 in the Kazakh capital, Astana, bringing together 350 companies from 22 countries, including major players from Germany, Italy, and Japan. Hosted by the Kazakh Industry and Construction Ministry, the event serves as a platform for manufacturers, distributors, service providers, and industry experts from across the Eurasian Economic Union and beyond to display the latest technologies, innovations, and solutions in the automotive sector.
As the world’s largest exhibition brand in the automotive industry, Automechanika provides a valuable opportunity for countries like Kazakhstan to showcase their capabilities and strengthen their national economies. According to Business Media Central Asia CEO Anuar Malik, events of this caliber have a significant impact on both the industry and the economy, with every dollar invested generating a multiplier effect.
A total of 54 Kazakh companies are participating in the exhibition, with key sections of the event focusing on auto parts and components, electronics and communication systems, accessories and tuning, diagnostics and repair, oils and chemicals, car washes, and car care. Kazakhstan’s automotive industry is considered a priority sector, having demonstrated consistent growth due to systemic reforms and localization efforts over the past decade.
Vice Minister of Industry and Construction Olzhas Saparbekov highlighted the sector’s progress, noting that eight enterprises currently operate in six regions of Kazakhstan, providing employment opportunities for nearly 7,000 people. Plans are in place to establish two new production facilities in Almaty and Kostanai this year, which are expected to create approximately 5,000 additional jobs.
The Automechanika Astana exhibition serves as a testament to Kazakhstan’s commitment to driving innovation and development in the automotive industry, positioning the country as a key player in the global market. The event not only facilitates networking and knowledge exchange but also drives economic growth and creates employment opportunities for the local population.
