Astana to Host Astana Indoor Meet for Amin Tuyakov Prizes International Athletics Tournament
Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, is set to host the Astana Indoor Meet for Amin Tuyakov Prizes international athletics tournament on Jan. 25. This event will feature top athletes from around the world, including Olympic champions and world championship medalists.
The National Olympic Committee’s press service has announced that this tournament will mark the beginning of the World Athletics Indoor Tour Gold 2025 series. This series will include nine cities across the globe, with the final event taking place in Madrid on Feb. 28.
Some of the notable participants in the Astana Indoor Meet include Olympic and world champion Andre De Grasse from Canada, silver medalist Kishane Thompson from Jamaica, bronze medalist Alex Haydock-Wilson from the United Kingdom, world ranking leader Cornelius Tuwei from Kenya, world champion Marquis Dendy from the United States, Olympic finalist Tia Clayton, World Under-20 Championships gold medalist Tina Clayton from Jamaica, Olympic champion Natasha Morrison from Jamaica, two-time World Championships medalist Sada Williams from Barbados, and many others.
