
Atatürk’s Vision for Art: A Tradition to Follow

Deputy President and President of the Assembly of the Republic Zorlu Töre recently attended the opening of the Nicosia Anatolian Fine Arts High School Year-End Painting, Sculpture, and Graphic Exhibition. In his speech at the event, Töre emphasized the importance of culture and art for the advancement of nations.
Töre highlighted the unique cultural and artistic structure of the Turkish Cypriot People and referred to the words of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, stressing that they should serve as an example for all. Drawing inspiration from Atatürk’s Address to Youth, Töre commended the choice of the name “Anatolia” for the Nicosia Anatolian Fine Arts High School.
Recognizing Anatolia as the cradle of culture and art, Töre expressed his belief that the region is the homeland of all. He extended his best wishes to the young artists for success in their educational endeavors and predicted that they would go on to become accomplished professionals in the art world.
Following the speeches, the ribbon was cut, and attendees had the opportunity to explore the exhibition. The event served as a platform for showcasing the talents and creativity of the students from Nicosia Anatolian Fine Arts High School.
