Attention Car Owners: Huge Discounts on Diesel Fuel! – Latest Update
Fuel Prices in Turkey Continue to Fluctuate: Another Discount Announced
The volatility in fuel prices in Turkey seems to be continuing, with another discount announced at midnight on an already discounted fuel price. On the first day of Eid al-Fitr, a double discount was offered on fuel, and the liter of gasoline dropped to 1 lira and 21 cents, while diesel dropped to 91 cents. On April 25, the liter of diesel also had a significant reduction by 47 cents. The most recent discount saw the price of diesel drop by a further 1 lira and 30 cents.
So, how much is the liter of fuel at the moment? After the discount, the liter of diesel stands at 18 liras and 46 kurus in Istanbul, 18 liras and 82 kurus in Ankara, and 18 liras and 89 kurus in İzmir. On average, 20.37 liters of gasoline are sold per liter.
But how are fuel prices calculated in Turkey? It is determined by adding the SCT (Special Consumption Tax) and EMRA (Energy Market Regulatory Authority) share to the duty-free refinery price, which results in the Refinery sales price excluding VAT. The Duty-Free Refinery Price is calculated by following the daily CIF Mediterranean product prices published in the Mediterranean-Italian market and the daily dollar rate, considering the duty-free refinery ceiling sales price at a certain price change difference.
While the fluctuations in fuel prices can be hard to keep up with, discounts like the most recent one offer drivers some financial relief. However, it is important to remember that fuel prices can be unpredictable and change rapidly, so it’s always a good idea to keep an eye on them.
