AtyrauNefteMash, a prominent oil and gas equipment manufacturer in Kazakhstan, has achieved a significant milestone by receiving certification from the American Petroleum Institute (API) with the assistance of the North Caspian Project (NCOC) operator on February 26.
This certification, as reported by Khabar TV channel, signifies that the products manufactured by AtyrauNefteMash adhere to international industry standards, granting the company access to global markets in more than 100 countries.
During the event, NCOC Managing Director Giancarlo Ruiu commended the efforts of Kazakh partners and reiterated NCOC’s dedication to supporting local manufacturers, including facilitating their acquisition of international certifications.
Yerlan Mukai, Deputy Managing Director of NCOC, emphasized the importance of the API 650 monogram certification in ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards, especially in challenging oil and gas extraction environments.
NCOC has already awarded contracts totaling $18 billion to Kazakh suppliers and service providers, with AtyrauNefteMash playing a crucial role in significant national projects like the construction of Kazakhstan’s first petrochemical complex and the modernization of the Atyrau Oil Refinery.
AtyrauNefteMash’s General Director, Saltanat Adilova, highlighted the company’s increasing involvement in complex contracts over the years, with the new API certification further validating the quality of their products.
Through its local content development program, NCOC has bolstered over 60% of domestic producers of goods and services, aiding 13 major Kazakh enterprises in expanding and enhancing their production capabilities, thereby bolstering the country’s industrial capacity.
